Minimalist interior breakfast & brunch restaurant that offers quite a variety of breakfast you could think of. Pretty insta-worthy for those who enjoys taking pictures.
Note: This is a self service restaurant so do remember to collect your orders and clean up your mess after you’ve finished your meal!
Fluffy Kid (RM 17)
Lightly seasoned, not too much wow factors about this but if you don’t feel like having carbs this is a pretty good option to go for.
Scrambled eggs were fluffy as promised however the diced luncheon meat was a little mushy. The side salad was crisp, fresh and delicious!
Like Burger Like Sandwich (RM 20)
One thing I love about this place is that that they don’t use regular white breads in their menu but hearty & healthy ones like this one right here, Purple Chia Seed Toast. The pork loin in the sandwich was pretty juicy.
Multigrain Toast (RM 14)
A simple yet filling choice for vegetarian diners. Generous spread of avocado with a sunny side up.
Didn’t tried any of their drinks because we wanted to go elsewhere for coffee.
Might probably visit this place again but not anytime soon.🤷🏻♀️
We dropped by at this old, bustling coffee shop strategically located just across the Klang KTM Station for a quick breakfast before we head over to Pulau Ketam. Chong Kok Kopitiam is apparently one of the oldest operating coffee shop in Klang.
The multiracial community here makes the ambiance so much more effervescent. Do not hesitate to share a table as it is packed almost everyday especially the weekends.
Generous spread of ‘kaya’ coconut jam and actual butter instead of margarine slapped in between the lightly toasted toast. It’s still a little fluffy on the inside which makes it a lot more palatable. Not to mention their homemade kaya that tasted really authentic.
Personally I’ve always preferred my toast toasted over steamed. This time I’ve got to love how cotton-like soft and piping hot it was. There’s definitely something about their kaya that makes it so addictive.
You’ll see these prepacked Nasi Lemak just in front of the cashier. The fluffy perfectly cooked rice plus the sambal makes it simply remarkable with just the right amount of heat in it.
Economical fried mee hoon may be the breakfast choice of some as it is simply satisfying and filling though there’s no particular wow-factor about it.
It was a little too sweet for my liking, way too generous with the spoonful of Milo powder and sugar. Getting a cup of their signature Cham C would be highly recommended though!
Worth a visit especially for visitors who are planning a day trip to Klang.

Anyways, sit back and relax with your other half, accompanied by a bottle of wine and astounding dishes prepared by Chef de Cuisine, Valmurugan Subramaniam and his team.

It was an absolute refreshing starter. As impressive as it looks, the salmon was really light and fresh.
The color of the soup was quite vibrant and served piping hot with some nice buttery flavor to it which makes it so sumptuous.
We then paused for a delicate rose-mint sorbet with a nice balance of floral and sweetness which was quite riveting.
As for the main course, there would be 3 options to be picked.
The texture of the fish was quintessential. It was crispy on the outside, light and delicate inside.
The beef cheek was scrumptious! It was liquefy tender with a rich and deep flavor.
The lamb was perfectly cooked and the sous vide keeps it really tender and juicy.
This wonderful French dessert is full of sweetness and fragrance from the strawberries! The mousse is light, smooth and melts in your mouth instantly.

“A place that provide wholesome recipe for great living.”
Cafe 1986 offers a fantastic blend of both Western and Asian flavors with an à la mode twist. The cafe was founded by a group of friends who were born in the 80s and they’re passionate about giving warm hospitality, comfort food and living a healthy lifestyle.
Recently the cafe had a major makeover giving a much more vibrant vibes and dazzling ambiance to their regulars and newcomers or perhaps you could say a cafe without that overrated hipster settings.
Service is above and beyond, don’t fret to let them know if you’ve got any dietary restrictions. Food were served piping hot and thumping portions but it may take some time as they want to ensure it is served with quality.
Beautiful thin-crusted, light-textured ciabatta bread which is simply perfect for breakfast or brunch. To me, egg mayo has to be one of the greatest sandwich fillings of all time. It is simple yet creamily comforting, but substantial enough to satisfy.
If you’d prefer something heavier and a more filling sandwich, give this a go. One of their signature dishes serving with ciabatta bread as well, the sliced buttered chicken was really well marinated and I really enjoyed that crunch when having the first bite. Wasabi mayo was really refreshing and the flavor lifts up this sandwich. The sweet potato fries were healthily delicious! It really brings out the inherent sweetness from the potato. You could order them as sides too!
As divine as it smells, careful when you give it a sniff as the balsamic hits you in the nostril really hard. The mushrooms were tender and well infused with an intense, slightly sweet and tangy flavor to it.
It wasn’t my expectation at all from what I’ve seen on the menu! The aglio olio was nicely sauteed and the grilled marinated pork chop was simply mind-boggling. It was a beautiful thick-cut that was really moist and tender, the home-made barbecue sauce was then again isn’t overrated and I really love how black pepper coarse were added in it giving a hot, biting and very pungent taste.
Served with aglio olio as well, the smoked duck was sublime. The meat was silky and tender with a nice smokiness to it that doesn’t overpower perfectly paired with mixed berries sauce. As for the grilled potato wedges, it was fluffy on the inside. I kind of like how it’s served with alfalfa too! A recommended dish but I personally preferred the Pork Chop.😜
Another strongly recommended dish, meat dishes served in this cafe were definitely astounding. Chicken was beautifully glazed with the shiny, flavorful teriyaki sauce sprinkled with sesame. The marinated soft boiled egg or ajitsuke tamago, was perfectly cooked. It was still runny in the middle and whites were solid. This is definitely a fantastic rice dish for rice lovers!
This sweet, savory and juicy Hawaiian Burger made with perfectly butter grilled pineapple, homemade pork patty, melted cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, coral lettuce and sliced tomatoes. It is truly a delicious combo that tasted absolutely sensational.
It makes a wonderful light meal on its own although the salad was usual but what matters most were the freshness where you get the nice crisp from the greens.
It would be nice if there’s add-on to it.
There is nothing quite like the love of mum with warm bread and butter pudding as a cosy, comforting dessert. It may be old fashioned, but it has remained a favorite to many. Cafe 1986’s bread and butter pudding isn’t any ordinary pudding but a recipe that has been carried down for over 30 years with quite a history behind it and was still well preserved till this very day.
You will not be disappointed.
You may or may not know that I’m obsessed with anything Earl Grey. Especially when it’s ice cream, it’s my 101 favorite. It’s light, simple yet refreshing, the waffle was crispy and slightly fluffy on the inside plus its loaded with fresh strawberries and bananas!
Cafe 1986 will be starting the New Year’s with their menu fully revamped and I can’t wait to try more of their food!

“Cooking well doesn’t mean cooking fancy.” – Julia Child
This latest eatery in Plaza Arkadia which is only a few minutes away from Desa Park City that specializes in EGGS. Yas eggs I’m not kidding! Egg lovers rejoice!❤
Hipster-like interior yet keeping things simple. Food didn’t take too long to arrive and everything was served at the right temperature.
To begin with, let’s have some Energy Booster!
Nice crispy crust and super soft texture at the center. The garlic spread has a nice hint of salted egg yolks.
Some freshly baked assorted muffins to have before starting the day or you could purchase them as next-day breakfast. It is indeed a decadent and healthy choice for breakfasts, brunches, light dinners or anytime snacks.
There’s also some petit croissants that would be paired perfectly with a cup of coffee.
Croissants were served with Homemade Salted Egg Butter and Citrus Compote. It was definitely a wow-factor to have salted egg yolk chunks in the butter giving it a whole different perspective!
These sweet decadents were served with Dried Fruits and Dulce de Leche.
Dulce de Leche something similar to caramel except its made from condensed milk. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this would be your kind of croissant!
The flavor and texture of these crépes were just delightful. They’re served with Light Butternut Cream, Almond Drops, Latin’s Milk Jam and Vanilla Ice-cream.
Alright let’s get back into something more savory.
The secret to scrumptious deep-fried bites are the batter. It was really refreshing to have the tender rings and prawn along with the crispy batter dipped in their cod roe along with some kai lan on the side.
Hands down for this mushroom soup! I really enjoyed the texture of the soup as you’d still get some nice chunks and bits of the blended mushrooms. It was really flavorful and hearty to have especially on a rainy day.
Moving on, we’re here for the real deal … EGGS!🍳
This is Hermitage’s interpretation of Breakfast Plate. Major wow-factor going on right here!BLACK TRUFFLE Scrambled Eggs served with choices of Grilled Home-made Chicken Meatloaf or Cured Beef Brisket, Hand Crushed Chat Potatoes, Ripe Tomatoes, Sauteed Mushrooms, Virgin Olive Oil drizzled on Fine Beans and petit Croissant.
As simple as it looks and sounds, brace yourself for the wonderful flavors of the black truffle as it lingers in your mouth that keeps you digging in for more.
Egg Roll filled with Tiger Prawn, Wild Mushroom and Mozzarella Cheese topped with Bonito Flakes, Spring Onion, Cod Roe Aioli and Croissant on the side. I’ll leave the surprise for you on what it’ll look like inside but you’d definitely not be disappointed.😜
The Slow Cooked Ox Cheek was cooked till utterly moist and juicy. Brioche Toast was then topped with Poached Eggs, Foie Gras Butter, Black Fungus and Black Truffle slices. It was just a burst of flavors from every element on this plate.
This light, airy Baguette has a wonderful crisp golden crust to it with soft fluffy crumb and the thinly sliced Cured Duck Breast in the baguette was absolutely juicy and tender served with Carrot Salad, Scallion, Kyuri Cucumber and Hoisin Mayo. Mind-blowing bahn mi.
I bet you’ve not seen this on Fish & Chips dish before but often in dim sum restaurants that’s usually wrapped with prawns or yam. Katafi rolled on Salmon and Chicken Terrine with Cod Roe Tartare Sauce and Chips.
This is definitely something you should try when you’re here!
Your not so ordinary Aglio Olio pasta but The Hermitage’s way. The spaghetti was beautifully sauteed with XO Sauce, Garlic, Prawns, Scallops and Lobster Oil. Al dente, exploding with flavors with that nice amount of heat.
Fried Duck Egg on pasta? Ugh yes. Penne nicely loaded with Cheese and Foie Gras Butter. How I wish the Duck Leg Confit would be completely soft and tender and the juices that run out when pierced.
If you’re a fan of rice bowl, Chef Simon’s Don Creations are your kind of comfort food. Marinated Sashimi Grade Salmon & Tuna, chunks of Avocado, Soft Boiled Egg and Sesame topped on California Rice. It’s a really refreshing rice bowl to have especially if you prefer something healthier.
Souffle is their house specialty and it is definitely something different than what you’ve tried from many places. This dessert comes with a rich French history it is not an easy dish to be mastered.
Here in The Heritage you’d be able to enjoy this dessert at a reasonable price need not going to any fancy restaurants just to have this particular dessert. The souffle has a beautiful melt in mouth texture that immediately dissolves and really moist at the center. Drizzled it with some Dark Chocolate Sauce to make it more delectable and soothe your soul with their Frozen Yogurt Ice-cream. The sweet and tangy flavors from the froyo tastes absolutely divine.
After some eggy palate adventure we had some refreshing blackcurrant lemonade to rinse our palate.
Other than that, they do bake some delectable desserts and Christmas cookies you could purchase.
As they’ve only recently opened, there’s currently 20% off the total bill!
Drop them a visit and you’d love what’s serving on their egg menu for sure!

What’s great about neighborhood cafes are the fact that you’re at your comfort zone, you don’t personally know the people around you but you’re sure they live around here and enjoying each other company (and the food.) Cappuccino Garden is usually the spot for locals to have breakfast with their family on weekends as its pretty much the earliest cafe to be opened around the neighborhood.
On weekends, freshly baked breads using only pure natural ingredients with no preservatives are sold. Be sure to get some for a healthy breakfast at home the next day or have it here with a cup of coffee! If that isn’t what you’re really craving for, they’ve got Danish pastry, cakes and muffins!
Jimmy Hooi, owner of Cappuccino Garden and the restaurant next door, Bacon & Balls ensures what’s serving in his restaurants are high quality and of course delicious. As a man who strives for quality, the food and beverage, service and ambiance are satisfactory. Food and drinks didn’t take too long to arrive and service staffs were friendly.
The rendang was delicious, chicken was moist, rice isn’t as fragrant and condiments were alright.
Omelette was well stuffed with mushrooms, onions, capsicums and cheese. It’s like the ones you order from the egg station in hotels! The gourmet chicken sausages and baked beans were alright.
Scrambled eggs were deliciously buttery!
A fancier name for a French toast that many devours. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with some honey drizzled on it to make things better.
An excellent choice for ones who wants something not too heavy but gets you stuffed.
2 soft-boiled eggs, 2 half sliced toast, sugar-free marmalade, butter and a cup of coffee? Deliciously affordable!
There wasn’t much Caesar dressing so it’s a little dry but there’s definitely quite a lot of Parmesan Cheese on it.
If you’re wondering what’s that white thread its actually alfalfa. The fish fillet was beautifully pan-fried and their homemade Focaccia bread has really good crust to it.
Who wouldn’t love bratwurst?🤤 A really simple and delicious dish you can’t expect anything fancy from a neighborhood cafe.
I actually preferred this over the one above because there’s literally all my favorite things on one plate. Mashed potatoes were alright, would be better if there was some nice buttery flavors to it, sauteed mushrooms had some amazing garlic flavors and the frankfurter was just ordinary.
I’d say this is a nice place to catch up with friends and families that lives around the neighborhood and its easy to park because there’s a stretch of parking lot right in front of the cafe but for something really food-gasmatic, not exactly.
xx,

Take Eat Easy Modern Bakery & Cafe, a new eatery in town for the Millennials to gather with friends and families for lunch and dinner over their wide selections of food from scrumptious all day breakfast to cheesy-licious pizzas or ladies to have some catching up sessions while sipping some tea and having desserts in a sublime chic denim themed ambiance playing bossa nova music.
Unfortunately on my recent visit, their cakes and bakery will not be available until further notice.🙁 Food and drinks takes a little longer to arrive but at least it was all served at the right temperature. As for their service I’d say its satisfactory but there’s still room for improvement on being more attentive and menu knowledge.
Don’t worry about the waiting time for your food if you’re here for leisure though, grab a beer, play some darts and make a couple of new friends! Or just sit back and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family.🍻
“Talent hits a target no one else can hit; genius hits a target no one else can see.” – Arthur Schopenhauer
The dart machine is located in another dining area beside the bar counter if you want a game or two.
Delicious chunky mushroom soup topped with a flaky puff pastry dome.
Give the soup a good stir before having it because there’s a layer of melted butter on top and grainy bits of mushroom at the bottom.
Puff pastry was really light and buttery.
The combination of the baked puff pastry crust and creamy soup was out of this world!
The pizza was overloaded with semi-dried eggplant, broccoli crunchy, crisp capsicum, baked onion, black olive, succulent mushrooms and fresh tomatoes topped with arugula. If you’re in the mood for something a little lighter and healthier, this would be a really great option to go for.
Fish fillet was deep-fried to golden perfection and fish was still moist and juicy. The rice pilaf we’ve chosen to pair with the fish smelled amazing and tasted really good. Kimchi below the fish was sweet, tangy and a little spicy.
Yes, I shamelessly ordered from the kids menu. It was supposed to be a pikachu on my omelette rice though! And who wouldn’t love Yakult? Omelette and fried rice was a little dry but the fried chicken and smiley fries were superb crispy and blanched broccoli florets and carrots has that good crunch. Kids would actually love this! Same tbh.😌
The chocolate pudding was definitely worth ordering! Top has a souffle-like texture while inside was liquidy like chocolate molten cake! Ice cream was nothing to shout about as there’s way too much whipped cream on top of it you could barely taste the vanilla ice cream. Their homemade caramel was delicious. I’d just have the chocolate pudding without anything else if I had the choice.
I love how their juices are served!
The drink will be nicely chilled once the crushed ice starts to melt and it wouldn’t dilute your drink which causes it lose those nutrients and flavors.
To anyone who orders this and expects it to be ice cold right away, patience young grasshopper!🙄
Thanks for the coffee, Take Eat Easy!☕💕
Regardless of the waiting time for the food and services to arrive, I’d still return to for more!
Everything looks really good in their menu so I can’t wait to be back for more.
Love,

There is a new destination for seafood lovers in Pavilion KL serving contemporary, crave variety, healthy options and fresh taste sensations! A menu that also celebrates seafood inspired by their travels in the region.
Upon stepping into the restaurant, be astound as you’re welcomed by their fresh seafood display cases!
Before that can we take a moment to admire this beautiful ceramic shoal fish chandelier?
There’s not even a light stench of seafood in here! The King Crab caught my attention I had to grab a photo with it.
Service crew were really attentive and friendly! As for the food, it was all arrived in a timely manner we didn’t even had a short break for the next course! Can’t stop, won’t stop.😜
Tip: If you’re ever ordering both soups, go for the Wild Mushroom Crema then proceed to the Lobster Bisque as it has more intense flavors which may overpower the other soup causing it to taste rather bland.👍
Dining here is like playing a game. Every dish you order, it gets you guessing what is the element and that distinctive flavor that’s hard to explain. As what David has mentioned before our meal bagan, “What you see is not what youget.” Exciting isn’t it?
Amazing blend of Shiitake, Eryngii, Button & Oyster mushrooms drizzled with pesto oil then garnished with crispy Enoki mushroom serving crusty sliced Rosemary baguette on the side. Beautiful earthy flavors with rich and velvety textures.
Drizzled with basil pesto oil then garnished with lobster tail and ebiko, this soup was deeply rich in flavors which was out-of-this-world delicious and satisfying! There’s no reason to dislike this soup at all.
I’m obsessed with the crispy fried apples! Everything on this dish works so well together. The apples and mushrooms were light and crispy, greens were fresh and the dressings did not overpower at all. It was really refreshing and something extraordinary.
I know what you’re thinking, at first glance it may not seems to be a wow-factor but don’t be fooled by the look of it because what matters are the flavors. What you see is not what you get remember? You would be flabbergasted by the heat of the bird eye’s chili showing no sign in the salad.
Moving on to light bites, we’ve got squids imported from Korea flash-fried with ginger and dried chilies over seasoned onion rings plus crispy basil leaves served with warm salsa sauce. I’ve got to admit the squids were perfectly tender, springy-but-not-chewy! What’s missing is a bottle of beer.😀
This has to one of my favorite dishes.💖 it’s cheesy, creamy with that lovely hints of garlic and there’s also delicious chunks of fish, squids and lobsters in it. There’s just something about this dish that’s so comforting and hearty. Other than that, this would actually make an amazing canape!
Tender black mussels poached to perfection in a clear spicy lemongrass broth giving a nice heat to it. Mussels were still spectacular regardless and sliced Parmesan baguettes were toothsome I could just have it without the broth.
As we proceed to the mains, we’ll be trying out their Classic Grilled Catch Of The Day wherewe’ll have to pick our choice of fish fillet served with beautifully grilled prawns, light and fluffy fragrant salsa rice, sauteed zucchini and cherry tomatoes and choice of sauce, Mustard Dill or Ginger Soya.
Grilled to perfection, the fillet may be naturally tougher than other fillets but it’s pretty flavorful and I would’ve paired this with Ginger Soya instead to intensify its flavors while the Mustard Dill would’ve paired better with a more delicate fish fillet.
One of the most flavorful and moist salmon fillet I’ve ever had in awhile. The fat on the salmon renders gradually and gives the fish a luscious, silky, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Mustard Dill was paired better with this!
Chicken was boosted with flavors after marinating for 24 hours. Chicken breast was indeed juicy as it was carefully pan-seared then popped into the oven for a bit causing its moisture to be locked inside. Goes well with both Mustard Dill and Ginger Soya!
Note: Ginger Soya may not be suggested to ones who can’t handle the heat as it leavesa tingling, numbing sensation on your tongue.
Moving on we’ll be having their Crispy Battered Fish & Friends!
There’s something about their batter that makes it super-crispy and remarkably un-greasy at all while the fish and prawns remain juicy and tender. As for the fries, just wow. You need to come over here to give it a try because words can’t describe how good are they! Let’s not forget the tartar sauce with a twist because what’s fish and chips without some tartar sauce.🤤
The next one is going to get messy because you’ll have your bibs on and eat with bare hands.👌❤️
Each pot of their signature Hot & Spicy Lemongrass sauce are served with these amazing fluffy little fried mantous.
Take a bite then dip it into the sauce and watch as it absorbs like a sponge! The texture outside has a nice light crisp while inside its like a cotton.
You could order them as sides that comes with 12 pieces for only RM 11.
An old Southern flavors as told by David as it represents his days when he was still living in the States. Crisp on the outside, tender on the inside with deep corn flavor of these corn dodgers that are also delicious just having it alone. Did you know there’s another name for this which is also known as hush puppies?🤔
Couldn’t get enough of those chips we’ve had from the Fish & Chips. Wouldn’t hurt to have a little more.😅
To end our seafood fiesta with, we had Crunchy Cookie & Berry Parfait.
I love that hot and cold combination on this! The cookie was still warm and gooey inside while the parfait was cold with really nice vanilla flavor that wasn’t too strong and the mixberry compote complements so well with it.
There’s also this hint of floral-like flavor in it that tasted like lychee and a little minty.
It was a really feastful meal we’ve had. Thank you so much Nice Catch for having us here! We really did enjoy every single bit.💗
Here are some of the drinks we’ve had!
Great news for those who miss having their coffee at Espressamente Illy here in Pavilion! Choices of coffee may not be as many but you’d still be able to enjoy the same thing! Especially their freddo.♥
