Jyo Nigiri-zushi 7 Shu – 7 Types of Special Hand-made Sushi (RM 110)

People and People (PNP) offers traditional Japanese carefully prepared by a renowned chef to transform each dish with creative flair in his choice of ingredients and selective cuts of the finest produce. The spiritual essence of traditional Japanese cuisine is fully preserved yet enhanced with his maestro touch.

Personally I’m never a huge fan of eating raw fish and seafood but I was convinced by the chef’s professionalism and food quality to give a try. Needless to say I helped myself with a few pieces and indulged it. One of the nigiri sushi I’ve got to highlight is the soyu maguro, tuna marinated overnight in soy sauce giving it a whole different level.

Take Sashimi 5 Shu – 5 Types of Fresh Raw Fish (RM 110)

The chef also incorporate aesthetic elements of arrangement and presentation as practiced in Ikebana (Art of flower arrangement) to produce a 5-Star presentation.

Ultimately, guests will revel in a dining experience that is a feast fit for a king. I mean, how often do you see sushi beautifully plated like that?😍😍

Salmon Aburi Maki – Torched Salmon Roll (RM 38)

This was one of the few memorable dishes I had throughout dining here, I really enjoyed the lightly charred flavors on the salmon. Highly recommended!💖

Kani Chawan Mushi – Crab Steamed Egg Custard (RM 18)

Generous amount of crab meat topped on the creamy egg custard. The crab meat was simply sensational and barely rubbery. I could help myself with another one or two!

Karai Kasen Udon – Spicy Seafood Udon Thick Wheat Noodles (RM 35)

Perfect dish to warm your insides! Obsess with the chewy udon noodles soaked in the rich flavorful spicy broth. It wasn’t too spicy for me, so I had it all bottoms up.😋 Everything about this dish was so spectacular, another highly recommended dish.🍜

Kurogama Ice – Black Sesame Ice Cream (RM 12)

Green tea ice cream is overrated and almost everywhere but finding REALLY GOOD black sesame ice cream is tougher. Nutty richness of the black sesame was intensely decadent. It wasn’t too sweet and the red bean paste complemented the ice cream admirably.

Yuzu Sorbet – Citrus Fruit Sorbet (RM 12)

Simply refreshing and delightful yuzu sorbet that refreshes the palate after a heavy meal. It was so irresistibly tasty to have with citrusy-floral essence of the fruit.

Mochi Ice – Japanese Mochi Ice Cream (RM 15)

Soft chewy mochi bursting with black sesame ice cream inside! If you’d like to have black sesame with some texture then you should totally give this a try.

Chi-zu Stikku Ice – Cheese Stick Ice Cream (RM 18)

By far my favorite dessert here! Thinly shelled cheesy-licious ice cream. It was like having cheesecake in one bite: creamy, rich and savory.❤

At PNP Japanese Cuisine Artistry, they elevate the joy of fine Japanese dining to new heights of passion with a creative approach. Visually, the dishes will be a feast for the eyes and food for the soul.

Psst! There will be an exclusive group of traditional Japanese dancers who will provide twice nightly performances on weekends. This is the first restaurant in Malaysia to host this!

Dim Sum at Celestial Court, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel

We recently visited the newly revamped Celestial Court at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur for some delectable brunch we’ve been craving for awhile.

Dim Sum Chef Ken, never fails to tantalize the taste buds. Whether it is the simplest of Cantonese cuisine, using a harmony of ingredients and the freshest product, or a gourmet of Cantonese delights with seasonal delicacies where one can look forward to a completely divine meal.

明炉烤特色酿鸡肉干 Grilled Stuffed Honey Glazed Dried Chicken Meat with Seafood Mousse served with “Man Tou” | RM10/piece

This was one of the few most notable dish we’ve had in the restaurant. The bakkwa was definitely worth the devotion from its appearance to taste and paired beautifully with the subtle Seafood Mousse along with the ‘Man Tou’ to balance the umami.

Note: Minimum order of 2 pieces!

咸水角 “Ham Sui Kok “Glutinous Rice Dumplings with Minced Chicken | RM18

These golden beauties has just the right balance of sweetness from the glutinous rice and savory from the minced chicken. No doubt a treat that everyone craves while having dim sum.

黄金咸蛋虾球 Prawn Paste Ball with Bitter Gourd in Salted Egg Yolk and Pumpkin Sauce | RM22

I was truly obsessed with the instant oomph of salted egg yolk and pumpkin sauce along with the fresh crunchy prawn in my mouth. It was just so addictive! Definitely worth the hype.

天宝阁烧卖 Signature Prawn and Chicken Siew Mai | RM22

The MUST HAVE on every diner’s table. As a sucker for Siew Mai, I just want to hog this all to myself. You could taste how fresh the chicken and prawn were. Simply yum!

黑蒜鳗鱼饺 Seafood and Black Garlic Dumpling Topped with Savory Unagi | RM28

As for the unagi lovers out there, you’ll be awed by this! I love how the black garlic wasn’t too pungent. Usually I’m not much of a fan for eel dishes but this was exceptional.

烟熏三文鱼千丝卷 Golden Fried Smoked Salmon Kataifi Roll with Seafood Mousse and Avocado served with Mix Fruit Salad | RM25

Satisfying crunch from the golden kataifi rolls locking the salmon’s moisture and barely overcooked. Its refreshing how its served with some fruit salad resting at the bottom of the salmon kataifi roll, Look at the amount of roes topped on it tho!😍

Versatile juicy, crispy dumplings with meat and veggies pan-fried to golden perfection. Words can’t express my fillings for you.😋

I totally understand why the restaurant gets really packed on weekends because everyone is obsess with their Imperial Dim Sum Brunch for RM138 nett only! A Berryful Christmas & New Year’s at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel

Known for its buffets and award-winning restaurant,  celebrate this Christmas and New Year’s at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur with an abundance of Berries as their talented chefs are set to impress you with and endless spread of local & international delights featuring berries.

For Christmas, Essence will be having a ‘Berryful’ themed buffet dinner on Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet or Christmas Day Buffet! Their Christmas Eve highlights includes 8-Hours Braised Short Ribs with Mushroom & Herbs and Crusted Chicken Breast with Roasted Plum. Sounds toothsome doesn’t it?

On the other hand, Celestial Court will be having a Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Dim Sum Brunch serving elegant Cantonese cuisine featuring Deep Fried Ocean Grouper Fillet with Crispy Enoki Mushroom in Yellow Bean Sauce, Pan-fried Australian Lamb Rack with Honey Pepper Sauce and Stir-fry Smoked Garlic Asparagus!

Alternatively, if you prefer a more quiet setting with lovely rustic interiors, the Villa Danieli on Christmas Eve will be serving authentic yuletide menu such as Turkey Roulade Stuffed with Dried Fruits and Nuts served with Grilled Spinach Gnocchi & Turkey Cranberry Jus and beef-lovers will be indulged by their Black Angus Beef Tenderloin, Foie Grass, Topinamburg Puree with Port Wine Juice whereas on Christmas Day, there will also be authentic Italian Christmas Day Brunch!

As for the New Year, Essence will be offering a wide spread of international and local cuisines accompanied by a variety of sweet treats!

Other than that, Celestial Court will have specially crafted 7-Course New Year’s Eve Dinner menu featuring Traditional Roasted Duck with Plum Sauce and Almond Coated Corn-fed Chicken with Angel Hair Vegetables.

Villa Danieli too has a specially crafted 6-Course Set Dinner Menu featuring Lamb Loin Wrapped in Filo Pastry served with Olive Tapenade, Artichoke Puree and Lamb Juice.
